Uli and Paweł first played together in 2011 at the performance of “elephants on speed” – an international dancetheatre play directed by Sebastian Eilers. It took them 10 years to reunite as a duo exclusively for Ostanders Festival 2021. At the festival they are going to perform improvised versions of songs composed by Uli Tsitsos.

Both musicians have a very different artistic background.

Paweł´s musical experiences include a large number of concerts and studio sessions with classical, jazz and pop music. Pawel has worked with many great musicians like Nippy Noya, Bill Molenhof, Steffen Schorn, Izabella Effenberg, Marcos Fregnani, Jan Prax, Kim Barth, Paulo Morelo, to name a few. He has won several prizes and received various scholarships. In 2014 Paweł released his first CD called “Drums and Dreams” by Paweł Czubatka Band. He currently lives in Germany.

Uli has an indie music background as singer/songwriter/guitarist for bands such as Hutpferdemänner and The Elephant Circus. He also has performed solo under his real name or as The Apocalyptic Troubadour and has released 10 albums so far. Besides his obsession with music Uli is also a painter, some of his works will be shown while playing with Paweł at Ostanders Festival.
